Ed looked at Cam. He understood. "Oh, poor Lil," he said quietly.

"Yeah," I said quietly as I nodded and looked over at her then back to Ed.

"The ocean..." he whispered.

"It really is," I agreed, looking at it. The moon was glistening off the water just perfectly and the dark night sky was filled with stars. I was still staring at the ocean while my mind was somewhere else. I couldn't get my mind off this afternoon in the library with Edmund. The conversation was still fresh in my mind..but especially the kiss. The smallest smile creeped it's way onto my face as I sat there and thought about what had happened. I wondered if that meant we were like together now, but I certainly wasn't going to ask. So I just decided I'd figure it out soon enough. Though I thought about that, I quickly went back to thinking about this afternoon, and the small smile creeped back.

.::NEXT MORNING::.
I woke up to a biting chill in the air. I snuggled deeper into the bedroll and opened my eyes reluctantly. I gasped a little when I did. The sky which had been so peaceful last night was now a dark gray patchwork of storm clouds. The gale was picking up and the sky looked about to rip open at any minute. I climbed out of my bedroll and woke the others quickly. We needed to get into the cabin before the rain started to come down.
"Wake up!" I called, shaking first Lil, then Cam and then Ed, reservedly walking over and giving Peter a sharp kick.

I opened my eyes and noticed the dark storm clouds. I groaned. I normally love rain but I wasn't currently in the mood for any. I stood up, yawned, and put my hair in a screwy braid.

My eyes popped open when someone shook me. I looked over and saw Lucy waking people up. I wondered why, then realized it was rather dark. I looked up. There were storm clouds overhead. "Well, crap!" I complained, getting up.

"Come on," I urged, ushering everybody into the hatch and down into the safe but slightly stuffy quarters of the boat. It was warm and pleasant, but the close proximity made the tension even more awkward.

I sat down on the floor.

I moved around a little to make sure I was as far away from Peter as possible. It didn't help that he looked adorably sleepy. I turned my focus tracing the grain of the wood, with my eyes, on the inside of the boat.

I noticed Lil and Peter judiciously avoiding eye contact. I felt the need to resume my glaring at Peter, so I locked eyes with him and shot him my most vicious telepathic daggers.
