I closed my eyes and sat down with my back against the side of the boat so I could feel the rocking. It felt kind of nice.

Things were just as awkward as yesterday... Possibly even more awkward now that we were in a smaller space.

I sighed. "Oh crap; I was so worried to get you all in here I completely forgot my bedroll. I'll be right back." I said, getting up and eagerly leaving the awkwardly tense bowels of the boat.

I opened my eyes to watch Lucy walk out of the cabin.

I sighed and flopped over. I was still extremely tired.

I regretted my action as soon as I made it; the rain, if that's even what you could call it, had begun and was pounding down relentlessly. As it was, it was somewhere between rain and ice, and it stung every time it made contact with my skin. The wind was vicious and the little boat rocked violently. I squinted my eyes against the sting of the rain and scanned the area where we had been sleeping. I walked over to my sopping bedroll and picked it up. I shook it out, but the pillow was missing. Now, if I was a smart with a brain I would've seen the weather conditions and returned to the hull immediately, leaving the stupid bedroll to collect water and then dry or wash overboard as the fates would allow. If I was a semi-sane person with half a brain, I would have gotten the blanket and forgotten the pillow, seeking the refuge of the warmth of the inside cabin. However, I being me and having neither any sanity nor even a quarter of a brain, started searching for the pillow. The waves and the winds were picking up even more, and the boat was nearly rolling over on the crest of every wave. I had to crouch down low to avoid being slammed into the sides of the deck. I found the blasted pillow and bent down to pick it up just as we peaked an enormous wave and a strong gust blew simultaneously. I slipped on the wet deck and the wind knocked me over, sending me sliding down the surface of the ship which was now almost completely perpendicular to the sea. I grabbed the cold railing of the deck with one hand, still stubbornly holding the damn pillow. As the boat began to right itself, I realized that I was dangling over the edge. The boat settled horizontal again with a great jerk, knocking my grip off the railing. I slipped over the edge, holding my breath as my body made contact with the nearly unbearably cold icy waters below.

It had been at least five minutes and it shouldn't take this long to get a bedroll. I started to wonder what might be going on up there.

"Someone should probably check on her." I said quietly, with my eyes closed. I could feel the violent rocking of the waves beneath me and it didn't seem like the kind of weather anyone should be out in.

God, it was cold. I started shaking and my teeth started chattering almost immediatly. "Cam! Lil! Ed!" I screamed hoarsly. "Caspian!" I added, in case by some miracle he could hear from the helm. Finally, after a severe internal struggle, I shouted with my last burst of effort "Peter!!"

I sat up again. It had been way too long, something was wrong. I stood up and went up there. She was no where in sight. "Shit!" I cried. I raced back down, "She's not up there!" I said, paniking.

Peter and Ed got up lightening fast, rushing back to the deck just in time to hear the last of my desperate cries.

Lil and I followed after them. Lil still kept her distance from Peter, but still came up.

I bolted out after them. God it was terrible out there. I squinted through the icy rain into the water trying to spot Lucy.
