" 'Msorry," I mumbled, wanting to say more but not able to force myself into staying awake long enough to form a sentence.

-Caine-
He smiled, taking his shirt and draping it over her so she would potentially be a bit warmer.

I was already almost asleep, but I snuggled into the new warmth and instantly fell all the way asleep, not able to process the source of the warmth or thank him for it.

~LU~
I awoke some time later. Caine was still asleep, but it his labored breathing indicated that it wasn't a pleasant sleep. I sighed and, not knowing what else to do but not able to go back to sleep, I sat up so I was off the uncofortable ground. I sighed and scooted over so my back was against the cell for more comfort. I just sat there, thinking about Peter and Lil and the others, staring off into the distance but not really seeing.

His eyes flew open as his nightmare ended and immediatly evaporated form his memory. He glanced around the room and yelped, sitting up and moving himself backwards, hitting the wall. He groaned as he hit the wall and began to breath again when he saw Lucy move in reaction to him waking. He closed his eyes but opened them quickly, only seeing his painting reflected on his eyelids.

"What?" I cried, shaking off the still bloody shirt and crawling over to him. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," he whispered, taking a deep beath. He didn't want to tell her about the painting and freak her out.

I sat back on my heels and looked at him, concerned. "Are you sure? Are you sick?"

Oh I'm definitly sick, he thought. He shook his head, not wanting her to worry.

I looked at him. "Ok...." I said, still not entirely sure I believed him.

"I'll be fine," he insisted, sensing her doubt. He looked up at her and forced a smile.

I smiled back warily. "You look like you could use some more sleep," I suggested gently. I had no idea what time it was, but I was a little tired too. And there really wasn't much else to do.

"Yeah," he sighed, laying down. He would pretend to sleep if it pleased her but he didn't think he was actually going to get any.

"Night. Or morning. Or whatever this is," I declared, curling up in the corner where it was most comfortable.

He grinned slightly. "Night," he mumbled, not all together there.
