I smiled a little to myself. "We were worried about you two also," I told him quietly.

~COUNT~
He arrived at the clearing where he had been told he would fine the person. No one was there. He followed a path back towards Aslan's camp; two people were outside, very much awake. He decided that it would be unwise to attack them without the aid of the smoke, so he slipped past undetected. He entered the nearer of two tents silently, and found a more welcome sight - two seemingly unconscious bodies and only one conscious. Maybe the smoke had been wrong, and it had actually beaten two people? He had the element of surprise on his side. He snuck up on the pensievely awake man and knocked him out silently with a clean blow to the head and not so much as a squeak from him in surprise. He went to the girl first and removed her roughly from the hammock, slinging her over his back with ease. Then he moved on to what he thought was the second unconscious being- the blonde boy in the hammock. He crept over to him and assessed the easiest way to pick him up as well - he hadn't been prepared for two (now, with the first man, he realized three) victims! But the empress would be delighted...

I rested my head on Ed's shoulder. I was worried about Lucy... and about getting to Ettinsmoor...and the smoke probably coming for us all.

~COUNT~
He sighed and shifted to pick up the blonde boy, when all of a sudden, he awakened.
~PETER~
He gave a startled shout and stood immediately, whipping his sword out from seemingly nowhere (really under the hammock is where he always kept it) and pointing it dangerously at the count. He made a slashing movement at his arm, causing him to drop Lil and pull out his own sword.
One minute, he had been sleeping and the next someone had Lil. And now he was fighting! Instinctively, without even thinking, he had drawn his sword in her defense. But the strange man retalliated with, to Peter's dismay, equal skill. Soon, the echoes of sword on sword filled the clearing.

My head popped up and I looked at Ed then stood and ran into the tent.

I hit the ground with a thud and groaned. I had an awful pounding in my head that overpowered pretty much everything else.

~PETER~
"Get back!" he cried at Ed and Cam, who had both rushed to the door.
~ED~
"What's going on?" he cried.
~COUNT~
He was tired of the distractions and, with a magic flick of his free hand, sent the two newcomers tumbling to the ground.

I rolled over and opened my eyes, shrieking when the first thing I saw was a leg that almost stepped on my. I rolled over the other way and curled up in a ball.

After being sent backwards by the unfamiliar man in the tent, I slowly sat up. I brushed myself off a little then got back on my feet.

~PETER~
It was like instinct had brought his old self back again. He was jumping about and landing blows quite frequently. He expertly moved the little duel closer to the door so that maybe they would end up outside where there was more room and less chance of stepping on someone. He hadn't noticed Lil awaken, he was so into his fighting. It was like the old days; he was protector and leader. He slashed the man's leg and it began to bleed. In enraged pain, he came at Peter even more visciously than before. He was vaguely reminded of his swordfight with King Miraz.
~COUNT~
Annoyed and in pain, he sent Cam and Ed back at the ground, this time rendering them motionless. With Lil incapacitated, Caspian unconscious and Ed and Cam unable to move, everything was desperately up to Peter.
~ED~
He let out an enraged moan upon discovering is inability to move.

I sat up and looked around the tent. My head was pounding and as I looked around it made my head hurt even more because of how confused I became.

~ED~
As he sat there, annoyed and forced to watch, he realized something - this was Peter! Peter was being Peter again! If nothing else, he felt confident he had his real brother back.
~PETER~
He ducked quickly as a swipe came dangerously close to his head. He turned around and whacked the guy in the stomach with the blunt part of the blade, doubling him over for a moment. Peter thought he has time to re-account for himself but he was mistaken. In a sudden, frantic leap, the count charged and sliced him cleanly across the cheek. Being a face wound, it started immediately dripping blood which kept running inconventienty into his mouth. Other than occasionally needing to spit out the blood, Peter seemingly took no notice of this new injury, in turn slicing the count across the thigh of his opposite leg. He screamed out in pain, knocking Peter to the ground with a swift (probably magical) movement. Ed gasped fearfully.

I noticed Caspian laying on the floor, seemingly unconscious. I crawled over to him, checking for a pulse. I found a pulse and then stood up, stumbling slightly. I grabbed onto something stable and for the first time noticed the fighting.

~PETER~
With a swift movement, he tripped the man with his sword, knocking him down as well. They rolled around, swords still out and for a good moment that seemed to Ed like eternity, they were just one moving mass of flesh and blood and steel.
